This made him a wealthy man. Drawn by his success, his three brothers, Dominic, Joey, and Rico, joined him over time. Tumultuous events and disappointments exposed the family's vulnerabilities based on money, greed, and crime.

The Green Plot
I was impressed by how [the author] integrated several story lines at once and moved back and forth between them, including one instance in which I was left anxiously wondering the outcome. Specifically, when Stanton went to the morgue, the chapter ended before Stanton answered the diener's question regarding whether he recognized the body as Julie. I found myself wanting to skip ahead to find out!
